About us
Why we answer the awkward questions first
Most finance sites start with the loan. We start with the question you're actually asking.
Who do we help?
Australian business owners whose situation isn't quite textbook — which, in our experience, is most of them. The café owner three months into her first lease. The builder with a default from a customer who went under. The sole trader whose tax returns are a year behind because the business got busy. The couple who own a home with plenty of equity but showed a loss on paper last year.
Each of them has the same question before they've even decided to borrow: will anyone lend to me if…? Most lending websites don't answer it. They ask for your details first and let you find out later. We think that's the wrong way round.
What do we do differently?
We answer the question first, in plain English. Our scenario library covers the situations owners ask about most — short trading history, credit hiccups, ATO debt, messy paperwork, no property and tricky ownership set-ups — with a straight verdict and a full explanation for each. Our situation search lets you type your "if" in your own words and see the answer instantly.
Then, if you'd like to go further, a real person takes it from there.
What promises do we make?
- No credit check when you first enquire. Asking what's possible leaves no mark on your credit file. A credit check only comes up once you decide to go ahead with a specific option.
- No spray-and-pray. We don't sell your enquiry or blast it out to a crowd of lenders. It stays with the person working on it.
- A real person, every time. Someone who understands business lending reads your enquiry and calls you to talk it through.
- Straight answers — including "not yet". If borrowing isn't the right move, or the timing's wrong, we'll say so and tell you what would change it.
We ask one thing in return: please fill in the enquiry form as accurately as you can. Your trading history, amount, purpose, credit position and any property all shape which option fits. Accurate answers mean we can match you properly the first time.
What can we help with?
- Property-secured business loans from $20,000 to $5,000,000 — first mortgages, second mortgages and caveat loans over residential or commercial property.
- Unsecured, cash-flow and line-of-credit options for trading businesses, typically $5,000 to $500,000, sized on turnover and bank statements.
- Past credit issues and ATO debt considered case by case.
- Business purposes only — stock, equipment, vehicles, fit-outs, wages, tax, refinancing, buying a business or premises, and working capital.
We don't publish interest rates. Every loan is priced on the business's own circumstances, so a rate on a web page would tell you very little. A real person explains the total cost in dollars before you commit to anything.
How do we work?
It's simple: you tell us your situation in about 60 seconds, we read it and call you, and we give you a straight answer about what's realistic. If there's a fit, we explain the option, what's needed and how long it's likely to take. If you go ahead, we keep you posted through to funding. You can read the step-by-step on how it works.
Our content is written by the Lend To Me editorial team and checked against official Australian sources such as the ATO, ASIC, AFSA, the OAIC and business.gov.au.
