How it works
From your question to a straight answer
Six steps. The first takes about a minute, and none of them involve your details being auctioned off.
- 1
1. You ask your question — about 60 seconds
Tell us what you need, what it's for, how long you've traded and whether there's property. That's it. No credit check when you first enquire.
- 2
2. A real person reads it
Not an algorithm, not a lead auction. Someone who knows business lending looks at your situation — including the awkward bits.
- 3
3. We call you for a proper chat
We fill in the gaps, ask about anything unusual and work out which door fits: property-secured, unsecured, or not yet.
- 4
4. You get a straight answer
If there's a fit, we explain the option, what it will take and the total cost in dollars. If it's 'not yet', we tell you what would change it.
- 5
5. Documents, only if you go ahead
Once you decide to proceed, we tell you exactly what's needed. This is the point where a credit check may be run.
- 6
6. Approval and funding
We keep you posted through approval and settlement. Funds are paid to your account, or directly to the ATO, supplier or lender being paid out.
What happens on the first call?
It's a conversation, not an interrogation. We'll ask about the business — what it does, how long it's traded, roughly what comes in each month — and what the money is for. If there's something unusual in the picture, like a past default, ATO debt or tax returns that are behind, we'll talk about it openly. It's much easier to find the right lender when we know the whole story upfront.
What are the two doors?
Property-secured business loans run from $20,000 to $5,000,000 through first mortgages, second mortgages and caveat loans over residential or commercial property. They lean on equity and a clear plan to repay, so they can work for new businesses and bruised credit files.
Unsecured, cash-flow and line-of-credit options for trading businesses typically run from $5,000 to $500,000, sized on turnover and bank statements. They suit steady businesses without property. Past credit issues and ATO debt considered case by case.
Not sure which door you're standing at? Try the situation search or browse the scenario library.
What won't we do?
- Run a credit check just because you asked a question.
- Send your details to a list of lenders and let them fight over you.
- Quote a headline rate that has nothing to do with your situation.
- Push a loan that doesn't make sense for your business.
Common questions
Does enquiring affect my credit score?
No. There's no credit check when you first enquire. A credit check is only discussed once you decide to go ahead with a specific option.
Will my details be sent to lots of lenders?
No. We don't do spray-and-pray. A real person works on your enquiry and matches it properly, rather than sending it to a crowd of lenders.
How long does the whole process take?
It depends on the loan type and your documents. Unsecured options can move quickly once statements are in. Property-secured loans involve a valuation and legal documents, so they take longer. We'll give you a realistic timeline on the first call.
What should I have ready?
For the first call, just a rough idea of your turnover, what you need and any property involved. If you go ahead, typical documents include ID, recent business bank statements, BAS, your ABN/ACN and property details.
What if the answer is no?
We'll tell you why, and what would need to change — more trading history, lodgements brought up to date, a debt resolved, or security. A clear 'not yet' is more useful than silence.
Why do you ask for accurate details on the form?
Because it's how we point you to the right option on the first call. Accurate trading months, amounts, purpose, credit history and property details save everyone time.
